- Just to mention.
- I looked at the WD homepage (http://www.wdc.com/products/iop/scsi-bus.html)
- and they have a full featured new chip (the WB33C93B) that supports
- SCSI-2 and is backward compatible to the WD33C93A, the one used in the
- 2091 and (my) A3000. So my question is, did anyone try this new chip
- and if so (I asume that it will work in the A3000) could I expect
- any advantage in the SCSI-2 part (speed and SCSI-2 devices ?)
- if not, is it possible to get an increase with a new scsi.device ?
- and at laest, what does it cost ?
-
- (to the original post. I have a -08 in my 3000 but don't exactly know
- what it did cost...~$50,- or so...but here in Austria, so should be cheaper in the
- US).
